They are for me in calf.

Can we get back to discussing VASS or not?

Or he might. Just what is it that you find objectionable about suggesting an alternative purchase, exactly?

Just stating the reason why he might prefer Vass rather than to buy EG, which are likely to be cost, time, and build.

Sorry to the EG brigade, you guys can put down your pitchforks. Don't want to start a riot like I did in the NMWA thread lmao

One last EG reference, I'm psyched to see your Edwardian Galway. What is eta?

If you're referring to mine, idk. Just told Rezso so likely 7-8 weeks once he gets back to me.

I really like the DOak/brown grain combo, but I can't justify paying $1-1.3K for GYW calf boots. Especially when I can get a Vass with some custom tweaks for like $700.

- Brown scotchgrain shaft / antic cognac calf front

- 360 goyser stitch

- Vibram lug sole

- F-last

Here's some Vass content for you.

After a few wearings these boots are now completely broken in and I can confirm that they are freaking Vass-tastic.  My conversion to P2 love is bordering on religion right now.  Just a fabulous last.

Can I ask how you size P2 relative to Carmina Oscar or Rain? I think we have similar feet, but you are about 1.5 sizes larger.

Always love seeing pics of these longwings. Great choice for the leather combo and goyser stitching.

Longwing boots with two different leathers = gorgeous makeup.

I have just the one pair of P2, so take all the following with that in mind.  Plus, these are my first and only pair of Vass boots - so I don't know if there is any difference in sizing when comparing the same last in shoes.

That said, I generally take a 43 in all the Vass Italian lasts (K, F, U).  I take a UK 9 in Oscar, Robert and Forest, and either a UK 8.5 or 9 in Rain (8.5 for most shoes, 9 for tall boots).

I ordered these P2 in a 43 and I would say they are a half size too big.  Not an issue for me in a tall boot - an insole solved the problem.  Were I ordering a pair of shoes, however - or make that WHEN I order a pair of shoes in P2 I will size down to 42.5.

PS - Props to NMWA for the makeup.

Thanks, @RogerP

I take 7.5 in Oscar, so I guess I'm looking at 41-41.5 in P2. I love how P2, F, and U each give a wingtip a certain feel. Amazing.

Gold museum OEII V caps I think are next on my list smile.gif

I'm happy to confirm that Vass will now take orders by credit card. For 'Muricans, it's so much easier than a wire transfer and saves the transfer fees.

Not an exciting order: OE II in oxblood on F. I also asked for one shoe to be slightly smaller to accommodate my different sized feet. That was based on info in this thread that it was possible. Thanks to whomever posted that. I should have them by early February.
