The Ultimate Vass (Footwear) Thread (Pictures, reviews, sizing, etc...) - Page 838

Swedish style is very "Lagom" smile.gif

(did I say that right, gents?)

I really think the EG 890 and now this S last are almost exactly like the Bonafe 946.

None of which come close to the genius that is the MH71 (thanks, NAMOR, for planting the seed).

Still, that dark cognac Vass boot above looks amazing.

You did indeed man 😊!
IMO, EG 890 is soo much more well balanced than the S. Really liked the 890 and will get the Austerity Adelaide as soon it is in stock at SKOAB.

Not digging the S from what I've seen.

U seems more balanced, K for the more extreme.  And I don't think there's anything "English" about it at all.  Never mind, so much other deliciousness still to be bought...

Many guys liked them a lot and I heard guys calling it a marriage between MH71 & TG73.
I don't agree though :-)
Great event, we had 700 visitors which is roughly three times what we expected.

I agree. Own both TG73 and MH71 but I wasn't that impressed by the S last. Since I don't like U I was hoping that S would be my thing and I really took the time to look at all last before we opened up the trunk show. This was the first time I saw Vass irl and I did like F as much as I did from all pics here, a big surprise was P2. A great last and way underrated here on SF, so much sleeker irl.

I placed an order on a suede shoe on F but my next order will definitely be on P2.

I'm on the contrary. While not my favorite last from Vass (U & F>S), I still believe it's attractive. I agree that it looked to elongated as a plain cap toe, but it was appealing when it featured a punched cap toe with medallion (see picture I attached a couple of pages back).

I've had a look at TG73 several times, but find it to aggressive and exaggerated. MH71 on the other hand is a beautiful last. Perfectly balanced. MH71>S>TG73.

I agree on the P2, was positively surprised. Will look great on all but the sleekest oxfords and I will use it for a boot in my next order.

Another nod to the P2 for being far sleeker and more shapely irl than in photos. It rocks for boots and derbies. Don't know that I really see it for more formal oxfords, though.

I wouldn´t use P2 for oxfords but definitely boots and maybe a PTB or derby brouge with double leather or rubbe sole.

Yes, I'll have one of each of those, please. ;-)

I agree wholeheartedly. Everyone seems to love the TG73, but I find it far more aggressive than the U and would prefer the U or MH71 over it any day. To each his own...

I have used it for oxfords, and it's really pretty good. I may yet experiment with a wide fitting of F last, but P2 is not bad at all.

Awesome. What is the average cost of a MTO shoe in calf?
