Insole?  Or you mean sock lining?

Rubber cement or shoe goo will do.

Apologies - meant sockliner. Does shoe goo work for that purpose?

I have used on some with no issues. Just be patient and spread the glue uniformly and let it dry for 24 hours.

Ascot S photo...from that angle, puts U to shame.

That S last is off. You're right, it looks better than a top down view but vass went in the wrong direction with S last imo

Curious to have the S and U side-by-side

The toe design could be a little different, but the shape of the instep and arch into the vamp area looks promising (at least shoe to right in photo).

Museum gold for me today:

The S last looks way too long. The 'English' style they're going for is much shorter, looking at what G&G, C&J, and AS make.

Cross-post from the NMWA thread.

The angle of the Ascot photo seems to accentuate the length...I'll reserve judgment on U vs. S until seeing some side-by-side (and ideally real-life rather than staged) photos of the two.

Too bad that the perspective and lens used for taking this photo really distorts all the proportions. Can't really tell much from it unfortunately...

However, in about one week you'll see pictures of U and S together since we're having them both at our trunk show in Stockholm. :lurk:

Yeah, looks pretty elongated. But as stated above, the shot probably enhances this, since Ascot always takes photos up close with the camera which makes the image distorted (Classic photography mistake, with standard camera lenses like 18/55mm you should step away from the object and zoom in to get the correct perspective).

Isn't the s the same last as the c a few pages back which made up the f.u.c.k lineup?
