I want to order the regular calf chukka in the U last soon, the best looking chukkas in the market to me.

Some guys size down by 1/2 for the F last versus U, others (myself included) don't. I think it's down to how the chiseled shape of the toe box in U fits your particular toes. The fit is pretty much the same between the two lasts (and K as well, for that matter) in terms of heel, instep and forefoot, but very different for the toe box. If you have chubby and / or widely-splayed toes, you may need a half-size larger in U versus F to accomodate them. In my view, the better course would be to get the same size and order a wider fitting, because you might end up with a shoe that is a bit too long in U (F and U are the same length in the same size).

If you have slender toes (like yours truly) U and F are worn comfortably in the same size, but for F providing more wiggle room for the toes.

Never had a Vass loafer in any last, so I can't help you with any fit specifics that might relate to that style of shoe.

Thanks for the information @RogerP Appreciate it.

My toes are rather slender so looks like F should be taken in the same size then.

Italian Oxford model with toe cap. Is that dark brown museum? Seems like it has a lot more mottling than others I've seen, which I think looks awesome

Seriously, great first post. It does have a lot more mottling... Is this the new Ilcea? If we can expect them all to look like this now I might place another order for brown and maybe plum...
