Hi there,

after having read all 232 pages I feel I have a fair working knowledge on the different lasts ...

so here's my story:

I have Vass full brogue derby shoes on the F-last in size 42. Overall they fit nicely (in both length and width) but I seem to have a lower than normal instep - so the laces are were closing completely - I remedied it by using an insole and now we are golden with a really nice fit :-)

I now have the chance to get a pair in the same size 42 but on the New Peter Last ...

so here is my Q: how does the New Peter compare against the F-last, especially in terms of instep height/volume?

a heartfelt thanks for all fellow Vassers for helping me out here!

cheers, Al

I fit P2 very well, even in Oxfords. F of the same size and width is too tight across the laces.
You might face different problems.

Interesting color, I thought it would be lighter. First pic makes it look quite dark.
