Cheers Roger, I must say the same for your spectators and red cognac shoes. Your taste is impeccable as usual.

No, they do not prefer this leather for shoes, they probably will make one if you supply the leather.

Has anybody ordered a 2 eyelet chukka from Vass?
How does one specify the following sole and it is posible to have the heel treated like that aswell?

Cheers, I sourced those kangaroo myself. Let me know if you are interested, I'm happy to help.

I think I can say with certainty that I doubt anyone here speaks on behalf of Vass on the matters of kangaroo leather supply or quality.
I can only make judgement from the kangaroo leather I have at hand and from what I have seen, felt and learnt at the tannery.

My question was whether it is possible to ask for a toppied heel aswell.
I have never had a shoe toppied before and thus don't know if it makes sense to have the heel toppied aswell.

I think the general practice is to have a full rubber heel, rather than a sole cover put over leather, for the heel. I know Vass does Vibram commando soles, maybe see if they're put a heel from one of those on for you?

Excellent.  Chukkas are my fave shoe style.  When I retire and have less need of more formal dress shoes, I'll be in chukkas every damned day. :D
