US 11 EE -EEE
UK 10.5 G in GG
and it looks like 45 H in VASS.
You will note that H width is Vass's extra wide sizing, with F width being their regular. I'm a bit disappointed about the fit, I was really hoping to get some staples from VASS. Back to the drawing board I guess...
Don't go for U last; it's really not for everyone, especially those with wide forefoot/toes. F would be much better while still English enough vs 3636/Budapester.
G/H width increases both width and girth but sometimes for us wide feet folks it's mainly the width at the toe box and girth at instep.
You have a point (which I think you made a while ago as well). Might have to abandon my U last ambitions if I plan to try VASS again.
How much more toe room can I expect on a same size F last, would be my question.
@NAMOR this pair would only be wearable for a limited time, as there is no extra space in the toe box. Would agitate my toes after a few hours...
I dont own any U so cant compare, but have many pairs in F. I wont say that the F toe box is roomy and for my large 12 standard width feet it is pretty snug all over in an Oxford. Derby in F last is more comfortable.
They do? That would be such a terrible universal piece of advice to give. The shape of the last from the ball to the tip is so drastically different that many people need a different size. Based on my own and our customers' experience, the majority of people need 1/2 size up from F to U
People make the mistake by not realizing that U and K is not for every feet and try to make up for it by sizing up. There is no point is looking good or funkly when your toes are squished and cant be worn comfortably for the whole day.
