Maybe you already know,,,but Antic cognac shell is very similar to whiskey and saddle. I have all three and if I was not told I would never know.

Wow! both of these will look incredible!

I have been contemplating an Osloer boot in either antique cognac shell or oxblood scotch grain

It may vary by batch. I have a pair of antic cognac, and it looks nothing like the pix of saddle or whiskey. More like one of the lighter versions of EG's dark oak.

I was referring to Cognac, whiskey and saddle shell. The one I have on today and pictured above is Antic Cognac shell.

Very similar, maybe just a hair darker than what you posted. Now I see you meant regular Cognac shell, which for all I know is the same as Saddle.

Yeah it can vary when I was in budapest i tried these on and was told they were antique cognac:

shell on the left and calf on the right

I think i might prefer the lighter antique on the more casual u-cap, will see should arrive end of may/beg of june

Thanks.

The fit is good. It's probably the snuggest pair I have on New Peter, but I also am still in the process of breaking them in. I think they will wear very nicely ultimately.

Frank,

are they the cognac scotch grain? I am looking at a pair from EP and they look like a similar color. If so, how do you like them in person?

Yes, cognac scotch grain. These are from NMWA.

Looks like the same as offered by EP. I am a big fan of scotch grain and this is a very nice color. Vass does scotch grain very well.
