Did you size the same with the Budapest last as you did P2? Iirc you are a 44.5?

45 across the board so far: New Peter, F, R, and Budapest. However, I need a G (wide) fitting for the Budapest. Had a pair of really nice loafers in Budapest last F width, and very sadly just barely too narrow. May order them again in 45G one of these days.

For my feet, F is the snuggest fit in 45, then New Peter, then Budapest (G), and R is actually a pretty generous fit, though it's perfectly workable.

interesting. is one of your feet wider than the other? I wonder if vass will accommodate a width difference in mto. my right foot is a 45E, while left it 45F.

I don't know exactly, but I'd say probably. Interesting question about MTO for different widths. Seems as if they should be able to do that since the shoe is being made for the client. Rancourt will do it, in something of a different world of shoes. It's built right into the their MTO ordering online.

I'm sure there are many others out there that do as well. So why not Mr. Vass?

you would think it would be easy but most wont (G&G, EG), atleast not through MTO. I know that STC will customize a last for you. Im just banging my head for not having the foresight to get my feet measured while I was in budapest. baldy[1].gif

In any case, just wanted to give SF'er @stmaier a shout out for sizing help. We are both the same size and dude has been really helpful icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Also looking forward to more pics of his recent makeups

Frank what is your Alden Barrie and Carmina Rain sizing? I am trying to get a reference point for sizing. I want to do an MTO on New Peter but have no sense of my size. I am 8D Barrie and 7.5UK Rain

Barrie: 11D, sometimes 10.5E

I don't own any Carmina Rain last, but I wear a 10.5UK wide in Forest last. And I go with 11UK when I need to in Carmina.

Thank you @RogerP for recommending them and for the spot-on sizing advice! Need to give a plug to No Man Walks Alone too for the great service and fast shipping.

Before wearing them for the first time, I was going to coat entire upper with Saphir or Collonil medium brown cream followed by Saphir wax on toe. Sound about right? Or should I apply Reno first?

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Don't know how I missed these earlier - they are terrific!  I am happy the sizing worked out for you - congrats and enjoy the heck out of them.

They shouldn't need Reno - a light coat of cream wax and off you go.

@Swede66

did you consider increasing the width of your dominant width while keeping your other foot same size? curious if this is allowed or if both have to be identical size

Vass = 10/10 for good price rtw

G&G = 3/10

Vass = real shoe made proper
G&G = imitation shoe made dubious

G&G

Me like G&G style but never buy it ever again.
