Yummy! Did you use a dark brown shell cream on these as the creases appear darker than the saddle right after brushing? If not I'm guessing the creases just lightened up a bunch over time and darkened even with chestnut color cream.

I wore these for a good year or so without any maintenance on them. The crease areas lightened as expected, but when I used Saphir shell cream (clear) on them, the creases darkened a tad. I quite like the outcome. There are also other darker spots around the vamp that is visible on close inspection. That's what I call shell patina!

[quote=Slewfoot;3751225]Here are the Vass 5-eyelet London derbies in cigar shell cordovan with natural soles. The other pairs are still at the office. On the first photo the flash went off, but it came out pretty well. All the others are in natural New York morning sunlight. Tough to get a feel for the exact color, but it's a fantastic shade.

The cordovans are great David!

Just got these from Kolecho last week on the P2 last.

Thanks tchoy! I actually just ordered the same model except in dark brown suede on the F last with a close cut welt. Hopefully they come out as nice as yours! As we can see, Vass rules.

They should come out very nice. I much prefer the F last, its more elegant but I have wide feet I wish Vass would make the F last in a wider fitting.

Wait - the F-last doesn't work for wide feet? I thought that was just the U-last?
