My sizing in the chukkas was weird, to say the least. I'm normally a true-to-size 8.5 D, which equates to a 41.5. I comfortably wear a 8D on the Alden Barrie last, for comparison. My theresianer boots are a 41.5 on the F-last. I wear thicker socks with those and they are comfortable. When I received a pair of size 41.5 F-last chukkas, however, they felt gigantic. So I talked with Mr. Kuti and we both agreed that going down a full size and up a width would work. I guess this has to do with there not being as much lacing to secure your foot in a chukka boot.

It looks like we have another Vass suede sizing victim.

Below a picture with the two F-lasts, both in size 41. Suede in standard width (F), calf in wide (G). Lacing fully closed on F-width and quite open in G-width.

Can anyone with both Vass suede and calf shoes on the same last comment if sizing varies?

Member n-domino has a pair of theresianer boots which I believe are open lacing/derby style so shouldn't they fit similarly?

I have u last in suede, calf, and shell. I had to size down by 0.5 in suede. I wear the same size in both calf and shell. Calf felt a tad tighter at first, compared to shell, but over time (1 yr wear) they stretched more than the shell. It depends on the shape of the feet, etc of course, but for me sizing down 0.5 for suede has worked. They're all oxfords (not derbys) by the way. Hope that helps.

Does anyone have any shoe pics / has ordered the navy or merlot museum calf (Haas)? Would like to try but they look quite light in the pics. Ideally I would like to be able to wear them for business (so darker is preferable)

I have navy museum on order, but no pics yet.

Ok I blame all of you now I need more.
My first of 2 mto's arrived today, this one from Ascot, excellent service from Sammy there. Another pair to arrive shortly from the Epaulet mto run last fall, the u tip brogue in dark brown.

Details on these:

Old English II, dark cognac calf
F last
45.5 standard width
JR double soles and metal tips, trees
I'm a 12 US, narrow heel and widish forefoot, these fit like they're made for my feet. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif
