45.5 is a 12D in F last.

I think 45 is US 12 in Vass sizing. I'm a 10.5 and I wear a 43.5.

Each foot is different! a 43.5 is slightly snug on me, but my left foot is bigger than my right so is usually snug. I think you'll be ok and for your own sanity shell does usually wear a slight touch bigger than calf so it might be a happy medium in between the two sizes.

Ha! My left foot is wider too but I prefer a snug fit anyhow. As long as I'm not bleeding I should be okay :/

IMHO Vass has the most confusing size standards of all shoe makers. I have 4 different shoes from them on the same last yet they all marked diferently and are the wrong fit (widths). Conversion from UK to EURO to US are a nightmare for MTO shoes. It seems that there is a lot of guess work. Do not even start me on the widths yet!!

There was room at the toe but not at the ball of the foot. If you have narrow feet and/or like your shoes snug, you'll probably be okay. I always judge my shoes by where the ball of my foot fits in the shoe, and that can differ quite a bit even in shoes of the same overall length.

Thanks for the pointers. I think I should be okay, atleast with the right foot. Left foot maybe nt so much-should have requested a slightly wider fit

I think he was referring VASS "whiskey". They give that as an option when ordering.

FWIW I had PMed Kolecho who apparently also provides a proxy service but I never heard back from him so perhaps he has stopped doing so

I'm a US12 and I wear 46 euro on the U and F lasts....I tried the 45.5 on the U last and found it was too tight
