Does anyone know if the extra FedEx costs that all you US customers experience also happens to European customers (in a less costly extent though, but still)? I've ordered a pair of double monks in antique cognac on the U-last which are supposed to be made ready tomorrow, and the shipping cost I¨ve paid to Vass for shipping to Sweden was 20 euros. Just wonder if I can expect an extra fee from the fine FedEx-people even if I'm in the EU.

No, never.

very noice. just wondering why not more people opt for the three piece trees, especially when you've been to the store yourself.

I received a similar pair on the F last recently and can try and post up pics tonight if you are interested. They are an antique cognac pair and I absolutely love them. Haven't worn them yet though. :embar:

^ Go with f last over u, and if u don't own an old english II in oxblood, get that over this

I have the U-cap in oxblood in the F last so wanted a bit of variety to my shoe rotation. Any reason why I should go with F rather then the U last for this particular design?

Three piece trees were not offered. Frankly, the sales manager who we first dealt with was very good, but the female associates who were there when I picked up the shoes (after having toe taps installed) were not that helpful... Pulled out the shoes, threw in extra laces, and on my way whether I had any comments or questions or not....

This balmoral is beautiful...but I wouldn't not do it in a suede or different color upper. I would keep it the same throughout and add steel eyelets

Ok, thanks, good to know.

But they still may ask you to pay the difference between Hungary VAT (19%) and Sweeden VAT (25%) because this is not deal between individuals.

Okay, better be prepared for that then. Thanks.
