Those are ******* awesome. Would you you wear them about once a month? Also, on my monitor it looks like the shoe has darkened considerably, to the point I thought it was dark brown shell at first glance. What kind of cream/polish have you been using and how often?

I probably wear two maybe three times a month, and less in the winter since I'm in New England

I've only used a light Meltonian neutral delicate shoe/boot cream once ... other than that it's been just a damp cotton tee-shirt polish every now and then.

I've had some issues with water spots but have long given up on trying to remove them. Also spilled a drop of grease on them (you can see it in the right shoe); I think it was when I was home grilling hotdogs at lunch :embar: ... also gave up on trying to fix that .. and have gotten used to it as a character trait in the shoes

Sadly these never fit quite right. FS link in my sig.

what's the problem? doesn't look too bad. it shouldn't be a problem for a skilled person to fit them on your feet, imo.

After a day of wear the knuckles of my two big toes plus a few in the middle are bloodied. Ive worn about a dozen times and it hasn't gotten any better. Should I keep trying?

no(t really). it seems that the u last has not enough volume for your forefoot. mission impossible, sorry.

you can see a cobbler and ask for his opinion, though.
