any of you guys have a tap - whether rubber or metal - put on a vass single sole?

Yes, a steel toe tap on my latest order, fitted to a single leather sole. I asked for it and no comment was made, they just put it on (very neatly).

Did you give Rezso your UK-size, or Eu? It has been mentioned here many times, that you should always convert your sizing to Eu yourself, since Vass for some reason tend to convert UK a bit wrong, which results in often too large shoes when customers go by this advice. I'm actually surprised they haven't checked this over, since it seems to be very common. I know Rezso reads this thread so he ought to have picked up on that. Should maybe mention it to him directly, they obviously want to give as good sizing advice as possible.
Yes, I give Rezso my UK size is EG 888 last sized 6.5F. Rezso did recommend that I should be in EU 40.5G in F last. I went throght this thread and thought I should go 40G. but bamboo said he was eg 888 last 5.5E and his F last vass is 38F, so the 40G may be too big for me.
as i know eu 40 should also be uk 6.5,

Hi. UK 5.5 is between 38.5 and 39 according to Brannock device conversion table and 38 works better for me. You are correct UK 6.5 is about 40 in the table and Vass tends to run bigger especially near the smaller side of the table.

I am quite close to US 6D on the device but it depends on foot how you actually fit.

Regarding 3636 vs Budapest last, they are both great, but I would generally go with the Budapest last. It is more comfortable for my feet and more distinctive looking. It really is wonderful and more elegant in real life than some pictures would lead you to believe.

Currently thinking between P2 and 3636. (Want a blucher, but don't want it to be too chunky)

Any thoughts?

it can. 3636 is best suited for wingtip and not captoe. the captoe above looks stubby imo and I am a us 12. imagine anything smaller

I am right on the fence between UK6F and UK6.5F.
Most my shoes come in UK6.5F as I like to err on the large side, I own a pair of US7E shoes too though.
I ended up with a pair of EU39.5 standard width Vass on the F last and I am very happy with them.
If you are a regular UK6.5F I would recommend EU40 standard width to you.

So it seems like standard F last is a wide fit and shoud be wide enough for my wide feet.
