Hate to clutter this thread with a fit question, but how does the K last fit relative to the U. I've read only the toe shape is different between the two (K is less square but more narrow), but from pictures it looks like the instep of K is lower than U?

I do not notice a lower instep as between my K and U last shoes (and as someone with a moderately high instep, I expect I would notice), but the former does indeed have a narrower toe box.

I know some have sized up by 1/2 from F last to U last. Would a G width in the U last work equally well instead of sizing up? Thank you.

Agree with Roger on the toe being narrower on the K and there little difference of the in-step in the U & K.

Would you both say the rather high instep of the U and K is unsuitable for someone with a moderately low instep? It seems really high when compared to EG888 and TG73. I was interested in a balmoral, which are usually good for me.
