Just received my first pair of Vass shoes. Now I know what all the hoopla is about. As good as these photos are, the actual shoes look 10 times better.

I was a bit concerned that the K Last wouldn't work for me so I went with the F Last. But then I was fearful the F Last would not look as good in the two tone. As it turns out I really had nothing to be afraid of. These shoes simply look amazing.

I'm sorry I was so happy with my shoes I almost forgot to mention Sammy at Ascot Shoes. Sammy did a marvelous job, and he had tremendous patience while assisting me with sizing on my first pair of Vass shoes. Great communication and everything you would wish when buying shoes of this nature. Thank you Sammy, and I look forward to my next Vass purchase sometime in the future.

love the choice, D. I have the f last in a 45.5 and love the way it looks. when i was at vass i tried on the the italian lasts and regretfully it looked poor. unfortunately, the italian lasts dont look good on the feet sized 45+.

G&G, JL, EG shapely lasts look as good in a size 46 as they do a 39. If Vass could improve in any area, it would be this

Hello Obama - Photo 4 - is the best example.

Looks black from the distance, but close up the
it's a dark reddish beetroot colour.

Thanks
Sammy.

Thanks Sammy. It has always been an interesting color to me. My next target to replace the boring black for formal occasion

Thank you sir.

I was really starting to get worried that I may have made a mistake when ordering these shoes. After ordering this shoe the doubts started creeping in almost immediately. I wanted a red shoe, but red really isn't a standard color for men's shoes. This shoe also had two different materials so that might make the shoe stand out in a bad way. Then I had ordered it on a Last that was different than what was advertised. I started worrying that I may have ordered a clown shoe. Let's just say I am very pleased with how these shoes came out.

Thanks for the input, I wasn't aware that this might be an issue. Hopefully Vass will address the Last issue your talking about. I really like the job they did with this one and I look forward to getting more in the future. However I would hate to think my choices would be limited due to my size.

Namor, You have raised an interesting point... Initially I wasn't keen on the U last...as the sample sizes I'd seen online were in smaller sizes with double leather sole....it made the shoes and last look stunted and squashed....like it's been in those machine where you crush a car into a block of metal that's 1/5th it's size......

Thank you Fid, Rikod, Sdolina, Jijno and all....

I'll stick with the same size on my Vass size for the P2 - My thick socks and cold numb feeling toes during the winter months will offset any heel slippage and loose fitting....

Thanx! Its the Italian-oxford on the F last. Its colour is oxblood but looks more brown due to the lighting.

Regards

Do any Vass Appreciation thread followers have experience with mto shell cordovan budapesters? Which last looks better with the 360 degree goyser welt, the 3636 or the Budapest? I'm trying to kill time on my commute home from the office.
