Greetings all,
I am a long time lurker but I just had to post. I've been through a good 60ish pages of this thread, including googling on vass f last sizes. And I've been more confused than if I hadn't tried at all. I'm amidst talks with mr Rezso to commission my first pair of vass saddle shell cordovan captoe boots.
I've read that for a US9D, I can be anywhere between 41-42.5 on the F last. Plus I read somewhere on here that cordovan models size large, between 0.5-1 size difference, like seriously? Vass could be the hardest pair of shoes to size online!

I am a US9D, slightly on the narrow D side.
8.5USD for Alden's Indy in trubulance, shell chukka in Barrie, for a perfect gloved fit with ample room in the toe box.

I know this has been asked way too much, but I could use some help! Does vass cordovan shoes really run larger than calf models? Any thing I should take note for a 7 eyelet derby boot on the F last? Help a man forge his pair of dream boots!

You are right that most Shell shoes do run slightly larger than Calf shoes, but I suggest follow your normal size, don't think about size up or down.

Hi, what's DMs?
I would like to know how breathable Dainite sole is.
Thanks.

Are DMs = Double Monks?

Hi

Yes DMs are Double Monks.

As to the breathability of Dainite soles: It's zero. Rubber is hermetic.

But that is not the point: I have several shoes with Dainite soles and I don't sweat more in them as apart from the sole they are built from leather and other breathable materials. I can't imagine there's much breathing going on through the sole, also if it's leather. Some others may chime with more technical knowledge

Hi. I am TTS US6D. so it is much smaller than yours. I got 38.5 F last now and It is still big. After exchanging Email with Mr. Kuti, I think my correct size is 38 E width.. (Their standard width is F. ) If you convert US 6 to EUR in Brannock device, it should be EUR 38-38.5.
US 9D is about 42.5 on the conversion chart, so I guess 42 or 42.5 in your case.

I find that I sweat a tad more with Dainite soles, but maybe it is psychologically induced.

Need some sizing advice, have slightly wider shorter feet

Good fit:
Alden Trubalance / Barrie / Modified / Grant: 10.5D
Carmina Oscar : 10UK
C&J 337
Edward Green 202 10.5E UK
Trickers (non country lasts): 10UK Fitting 5

Ok fit kinda narrow
C&J 325 9.5E UK
EG E82: 10.5 UK just a hair tight
G&G TG73, MH71 10.5 E just a hair tight
Meermin hiro: kind of long for me

What last / width would work best? And to order just email the info@ vass email?

43.5 in the 3636 and P2, sir. Others, I'm not sure.

I am a TTS US9D....I would say my feet are not narrow like yours, but not overly wide either. I wear a 42 in Vass F Last (calf) and it fits me just perfect.

Thank you!
I was wandering which kind of sole (dainite or leather) is better for a suede shies to wear throughout the year.
