Yes on the P2 and F, and on U people generally seem to go up a half size. I do.

I only have the P2, U and F, and of those, the U definitely has the highest instep.

Is this a Vass double sole? (sorry for the dumb question). I think it looks good with the Norwegian.

Yes - I think so too, the NST is a shoe that can take an unbeveled double sole well. would look okay with a single, but prob not with a bevel, and with Goyser bevel not poss at all (acc to Gabor Halmos)

So what do you guys think, what last are these below shoes on? Seems like P2 or 3636. Tough to say as I haven't seen the 3636 in the flesh.

Also, out of those 2 lasts, which do you think is more of a banana shape and which is more classically proportioned?

Thanks!

3636 "we" had a banana shape discussion many moons ago(very hefty). to my eye it's not. imo, it's in the eye of the beholder.

D

i think those are on the P2, also i think you'd find the 3636 too wide, i had a few pairs a passed them on they are very stumpy and i did not find them at all comfortable

don't know - my guess is P2 or even F - and the Budapester style in the pic looks prety special. The consensus seems to be that the 3636 is relatively wide, short and stubby with a rounded toe. 'our so-called “3636” last, which, as a result of its great width, its comfortable instep height and its classic, round cap formation indeed proves a very comfortable fit for everyone'

i really don't like stubby in this context.

Master Kiss' version for me is my "go-to" last. it's flattering for my frame and it accomodates the width of my forefoot. stubby doesn't come to my mind. i have at least half a dozen of them in two development steps.

Maftei recommended the same shape and we went this way. not stubby, sorry.

understood, luk is a EU 40.5/41 and i'm EU 44.5/45. go figure.

iirc, david is close to my size.
