Just looking at that sole edge makes me want to make Vass #8 and possibly 9.

+1 that's an exceptionally nice finish on the edge -

Having wide feet and having tried the P2 and the F Last, I would say that the P2 is the more wide foot-friendly.

Moo P2 and F are the same in width IMO - definitely not U unless you specify U last wide.

U, F and P2 are about the same width at the ball of the foot.

However the width of these lasts at the toe areas are very different. U has the least toe space, F has pretty standard toe space, and P2 has the most toe space.

This looks good, the whole combo, argyles, corduroy and shell. Nice job.

Help needed. I am an 8.5 wide - 9 D in Allen Edmonds, and sometiems even a 9.5 in some other brands (Alfani). My feet width is 4 3/16 inches, length 10 inches (so that's misshapen right there) and I currently wear shoes anywhere up to 12 inches in length and 4 5/8 inches in width. Questions: I am not sure what combo of Vass last and size to order. How do the lasts size - up, TTS or down? I know from the above that the P2 last seems to be the widest. So would an 42 size in P2 work best? Thanks for the help.

Thanks! Just added a new photo of them outside in the sun. The color rocks. And trust me, the break in the trousers is not as much as it seems.

Just describe it to them when you place your order or email a picture.
Handing over pictures works very well. Mostly walk in the Budapest store with a picture of the desired shoe.

"Is this one of your shoes?"
- Yes.
"Could I have one in size 43, including trees".
- Yes, 43. What color?

Then I pick out color or suede. Order get's noted in big book.
We agree on price and in big book I write down address and shipping details.
Walk to nearest ATM for cash re-drawl.
Walk back to shop to complete transaction, and 3-6 weeks later a nice small package arrives.
