GG lesser than Vass? Pretty bold statement.

Pound for pound, ounce for ounce...not a bold statement at all....
Vass is miles ahead in the ring for leather quality and construction...
and great value for money...

If you have owned 5+ pairs of Vass and GG...then come back and challenge
my statement.

Don't give up too easily....life not complete without a pair of Vass....and Lobb.
True that, Lobb I have. VASS and EG that are missing from my life :D
I never buy shoes online, but since he had a great deal here on SF I wanted to give it a try.

Which part? Value? Material used? Construction?

Design and aesthetics are completely different story as they are mostly determined by preference and taste.

It's a shame to compare leather with PET/plastics components used in shoes. :(

@Ilovelobbs, it sounds as if you would have liked a double leather sole on your pair.
Opposed to SF preference, I much prefer the looks of the single leather sole over the double leather sole for the Italian lasts of Vass, please enjoy your pair, it looks perfect to me.

@archangel, they look like single sole to me, but am not absolutely certain because of the weird angle of the pics.

Do all Vass models that are meant to be single sole, get their heel balance affected if they made on double sole? How about double sole models made on single sole?

What colour and brand of polish do you recommend for 6125 (dark) cognac calf?

So if GG and vass were the same price point, vass is the superior made shoe? In terms of construction finishing and leather...
