These are really spectacular photographs. The D.C. aerials are particularly great because you simply can't take pictures like that anymore. http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=124947 Nice shot of (mostly) Manhattan.

I look at these, and I can't help mentally superimposing concentric circles: Fireball, overpressure, shockwave, backdraft, firestorm, fallout ...
