Save Khaki

http://www.savekhaki.com/

Save Khaki is streetwear for adults.
disclaimer: I make sample shirts and sell fabric to Save Khaki.
even if I didn't, I would still have a hard-on for this line. I would even pay retail!

the owner David Mullin has plenty of experience with Gap/J. Crew, etc
his line of clothing is all softened and broken in. fits are slim but comfortable
colors are great.
check out the stores if you are in NYC.

I remember a GQ spread where they looked very nice but that website is overwhelmingly douche-y.

I like a lot of their stuff. I have several pairs of shorts I got for pretty cheap last fall from Scoop. Fits are great too. Well, for me at least.

Ironically, it was done quickly just to put up a placeholder because GQ was featuring SK/David for best new menswear designer. The image is the vision of a photographer friend who did it as a favor, but isn't necessarily how David (the owner) sees the brand.

I've actually been helping Save Khaki's organize their web presence (still a long way to go), and if anyone's been to either of the new locations, LES or Greenwich, it would be really nice if they would review them on Yelp. Since there's no real Web site at the moment, I'm trying to make due with Yelp for finding the stores, but the new listings could get deleted if no one reviews them...

I realize it's a lot to ask, but it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

We also have a Twitter account (twitter.com/savekhaki) if you're interested. And, hopefully I'll get more info about the collections, etc. online soon. No timeline for that, though.

Maybe it is Spam
but David Mullen has a fantastic vision. and knows how to execute it.

His ideas are copied over and over again by others.
whiskeylaureate i wish you luck in holding David down long enough to get something done.
we have conversations where we don't even finish sentences.
and I will be happy to post something on yelp.

Imo, it looks exactly like J. Crew. That 'look' has been around for so long that I don't think you can really say that he was the one behind it.

It's not spam, trust me. I've been posting on here for almost a year now, and I just started helping out SK three weeks ago. This was not some evil plan hatched last November. I've bought and sold stuff in the B&S forums. I didn't even start a new profile--stayed with the tried and true, hoping I hadn't pissed too many people off thus far. There have been a few threads where the brand's been mentioned, but no one ever has any info on it, so I figured I'd throw this out there for the curious ones amongst the SF forum. I'm not posting "design watch of many brands for cheap, PM me if interest" -- just basic info. Follow or don't, no big deal. If I had more to say, I'd look into starting an affiliate thread, but there isn't enough to announce at the moment, just that we have a twitter and would love help on Yelp if you've personally been to the store(s). Thanks.

You're not lying...I'm actually heading to New York this weekend so that I can get more than 15mins. He's going a million different directions at all times -- it's the reason why this basic marketing stuff has never been done. He's a product guy first and foremost, as I'm sure you know even better than I do.

Thank you for helping with Yelp!

After viewing your link I am left wondering one thing is this clothing label reserved only for gypsies?

I have a few shirts, a pair of long pants, and some shorts from SK. I like the shirts, but I've had numerous issues with the pants/shorts--particularly with the pants, which started to rip at the seat after only a few months.
