Anyone had that fake moldable cake frosting?

You know, the stuff the use on Ace of Cakes on oddly-shaped cakes that would be impossible to ice. Anyone tried it? Does it remotely resemble real icing? I imagine it is just sugary play-dough.

You talking about fondant? Tastes like frosting. Odds are if you've had a wedding cake, you've tasted fondant.

Yep, just had some birthday cake this weekend that was made with fondant. It does taste like frosting, but a bit more dense-- so it's a slightly different experience.

I dont like the texture / density of fondant.

Seems wrong.

Marzipan...you need to develop a taste for it. Give me the old fashioned stuff anyday.
