restaurant with a warning in the menu

If you went to a restaurant with a warning in the menu that basically said "white people, do not order anything with a * next to it. It is made for our tastes, and you may not like it. We will not refund your money or give you a different dish if you do not like it", would that make you order something with a * next to it out of curiosity?

No. Small-timers such as myself can not afford to experiment by ordering food that we will probably not like.

I would scream racism and sue. It's the American way.

I was just about to type that, in America, the white man always loses; but a recent SCOTUS case said otherwise.

Does a restaurant actually do this?

Of course a restaurant actually does that. Of course, it was not in the US.

And yes, I ate something with a * next to it because I couldn't resist the curiosity.

Just wondering if others were curious like that.

Did the * you eat have more than 4 legs ... or none at all?

Of course

Yes, because I am not white .

I wouldn't suggest people of your complexion do the same, though.

Depending on my mood, I'd make a point of ordering something with a * or OTOH, I'd just leave.
No, unless someone I know has specifically recommended it to me. I'm not that adventurous.

was it dog meat?

A * usually refers to something spicy? American pallets are just not used to some of the spices especially in a lot of the Asian dishes.
