Jantzen black fabrics...

Thread Starter
Anyone have a shirt from any of these fabrics?

Dobby #34 (http://www.jantzentailor.com/dobby34.htm)
Dobby #48 (black 1/4" herringbone)
Dobby #114 (http://www.jantzentailor.com/dobbydesign114.htm)

Any pictures of finished products would be great too.

Oh, hmm. I thought you'd be talking about flat black fabrics. Based on those pictures alone, I'd go with #114.

I have 114. I'll take a picture after dinner.

Just wanted to bump this old thread. I am looking for a good black fabric for a casual "going out" type shirt to wear with Jeans. The black linen from Jantzen was a bit too "shiney" for my taste. What about this one? French Oxford #53, Jet Black French Oxford Cotton, 110's, 2 Ply, 100% Italian Cotton Any more experience with Jantzen's blacks?

I wouldn't get a oxford for a black shirt, only a plain weave.

There is a black herringbone with white stitched stripes that feels very soft after a wash. Also in white with black stripes .
