Hi everyone, I'm looking to buy the LVC Menlo Cossack button up jacket in a medium. I've heard a rumor that the original version of this jacket is unlined. I would particularly be interested in purchasing one of those.

Anyway, sorry to spam this thread with a wanted ad. I am, however, seriously jonzing for one of these superb jackets. Please get in touch with me if you are looking to sell one to fund another purchase.

Thanks!

J

Thanks in advance.

How accurate are unionmades measurements for LVC? I know they are generally pretty bad but maybe the LVC denim is more on point?

What do you guys think of the leather quality of LVC? I have the menlo cossack jacket which says on the tag that it's made of "buffalo leather." I've been trying to figure out whether this means american bison leather or asian water buffalo. Thoughts?

Iv had 3 or 4 of the LVC leathers and all of them were not worth the full ticket priceof $1800 .  The styles were great but at those prices u could get a custom leather from a top maker.  Not sure of the leather used but it was similar to what u would buy in a mall mostly

Where are the stores? I need an address for the one in Las Vegas, now.

For example, id love to know the year, model and wash of these LVC from Cultizim, because they are too big and would like to trade/sell. Thanks in advance for any help

The model you can figure out from the back pockets, post a pic of them and I can try to help.

New to raw denim. Want to try 501 STFs to start. Consensus seems to be to buy TTS or size down 1" in waist, and size up 2-3" in length. If it matters, I have big thighs and usually wear 541s.

Should I go with my normal 34" waist or size down to 33"? Should wear them to dry or just let them hang dry?

Sorry to clutter this thread with pleb-level stuff. If there's a better place for this question let me know.

it depends on whether you're going to wash or not:

if no, you can do as you say tts or better yet down in the waist, inseam is up to you whether you want a cuff or not. raw will stretch at the waist.

if yes, i think the better approach is to hot rinse without wearing and yes add 2-4" inseam and buy a size up. you can wear into the tub but i find it stretches the knees. measure the waist when they come out of the sink and if it looks like it's gonna be too tight then yes throw em on while they're very wet and wear em around for 20 min and then let em hang dry.

fyi the current 501 is essentially the mid-50s carrot shape. traditional 12" rise, very anti-fit and giving through the things. don't know the 541.

What do you think about wearing LVC 1890, 1915 or 1933 anti-fit 501s?  Too baggy in this day and age and not a look that can be easily pulled off?

I have the 1933 and they are actually not very bad, they are obviously anti-fit but very comfortable, I haven't soaked them yet so I suspect fit will be different once soaked but I like them so far. You can also try 1937, they are a bit slimmer than the previous models.

Would you recommend 1933 TTS or size down?  Do you leave the NRA tag on?

I went TTS, could have sized down but that's the intended look and definitely leave the tag on, why would you even think of removing it?
One note is that denim is lighter compared to 47, 44 or even 55. If you want similar fit, I would recommend 37, it is a similar cut but a more substantial denim. I will pick up the 37 eventually and complete my collection. I would have just about all of them except 1890 and 1922.

54Z fit question:

My size is 30-31" waist and 30" inseam.  I have big thighs from workout.  The dry 31x34 54Z feels snug around my thighs.  The 32x34 54Z feels more comfortable throughout but with a waist gap.  Should I go TTS (31x34) or go up 1 size (32x34)?  Is 34" inseam too long to shrink down to 30-32" inseam?

Thanks.

Do you wear button suspenders with the pre-33s?  Where can I buy nice ones that look good with LVC?
