My two thoughts were:

1) Sadly, those grapes were probably better than the pinot grapes they usually use at that price point and

2) WTF? No one at Gallo tasted the wine and could figure out it wasn't pinot grapes?

Anyway, thinking of opening special tonight for my birthday. I have been itching for an amarone for the past couple of weeks so I think I will most likely go that route. If not, it will be something big and Italian.

Yep, IIRC, starting w/ my bday and going til mid-March or so, there were quite a few TOWT bdays.

+1 Happy B-Day! I'f I had internet access at home I'd join in on the drink-drank-drunk post as I plan on getting a nice drinkable cab tonight!

Hard week so far but did scoree 100% on quiz no. 2!

having a really nice DOC Cortese tonight. Really bright acid but great body.

There is a bolognese sause simmering on the stove. Tonight's dinner smells awesome.
