Just the clearance should do it and I will vouch for the fact the unit lets you know it's running.

+1. It'll be a good basement unit. that will probably work better than my outbuilding. count on a $10 to $20 a month bump in electric bills, too. and take some measurements to figure access. To get mine in, we ended up having to take the door off its hinges and partially disassemble the unit. That sucker's not going anywhere, even discounting the 25 cases of wine.

Mine would come in through the garage, so should be fine.

Just cracked 2005 Camelot by Casa Firriato (Cab/Merlot). Very chunky (15%vol) so having with a good slab of steak.

I checked pricing on some outside storage fairly recently. Don't remember the details, but come away with the impression that unless you were storing a fairly large amount of wine, the cost per bottle was staggering.

My new Vinotemp was about $12/bottle, delivered for a pretty small unit. Looks like foodguy's would be less than $8. Electric costs would be on top of that, but can't imagine that it would add a lot.

Absolutely awesome. Perhaps you should prepay your rent for a few months in case the temptation to spend every paycheck at work becomes too great.

Drank one of my Havens reserve already, it was pretty impressive. Looks like a killer merlot on the cinderalla wine today, Meroi Ros Di Buri '06........ too much wine... must resist
