Got my first case delivered from FP today. I should have another ready to be sent my way, and just put in a request for another 6 bottles as well. I've got plenty of space down at my house at school to fit all this wine, but I'm probably going to have to rent a wine locker in the storage unit complex right by my place back home if I take any of it back. Probably ideal for the bottles that aren't ready to drink yet, like the La Ratas etc.

I rent a locker by my work- really useful if I want to pick something up for dinner/the weekend on my way home

Yeah there's a storage unit place right by our townhouse downtown (right around the corner down the block) that has 24/7 access, temp and humidity controls for their wine lockers. As far as I know it's the only place in town that I could find, and prices weren't unreasonable. Downtown living is nice but storage space in our place is at a premium, and I'm sure she will not be pleased if I bring home 3 cases of wine and attempt to keep them all in the house.

Plus the wine storage temp and humidity is perfect (if not a bit high humidity-wise) for cigars as well. So I could put some of my boxes I'm trying to put away for a while there as well if I have any space left over.

I have to say it's nice to have a thousand or so capacity at the house.

I have a wine locker too. Its nice but can get expensive here on the westside of the Los Angeles.

How do you guys store wines in your lockers? Any rack system recommendations? I can't get anywhere close to the quoted capacity. Part of the problem is that it's probably based on Bordeaux bottles, but can't really find any good solutions.

my rule of thumb "however much capacity you have, its half as much as you need"

If you get the corrugated cardboard boxes, you can stack them, they're proofed to hold up to like 200Lbs+ of pressure. Ugly, but efficient

Anybody check out the Sparkling wine offer from Full Pull today?

The Corteaura Saten is intriguing.

Yea I just got some from uline that were recommended in some wine board thread. But they seem to be incredibly inefficient still. I can get maybe 6 cases in a "12 case" locker with them.

I'm thinking of buying some vintage champs from Zachys. I know there's always a risk of the wine having gone bad, but do you think zachys is a reliable source?
