Wow that's a lot! What percentage of your cellar is Washington wine?

Shipped for sure, and definitely do the TPU pricing. They keep things stored properly anyway when their shipping windows are closed.

It's obviously increased recently but don't forget they sell the occasional Rioja, Rhone, etc. I'm probably about 8% from WA at the moment.

I'm gradually getting into more southern British Columbian reds. They've actually come a long way in the past few years, mostly just Merlots and Pinot Noirs but they're gettin smokier. Washington wines are still cost-prohibitive, but whenever we're down we load up.

I really wish the liquor laws here would join us in the 21st century.

Put in for 2 of the La Rata. Not sure if any will make it to me but I figured it would be a good time to start ordering

I'm pulling in my horns over this damn backyard project so don't plan to drop $75 on La Rata.

I put in for 2, because, why not. Probably will not get an allocation (or may get a limited allocation, i.e., 1 bottle), but hey, might as well give it a shot.

My thought process exactly. Got me started on ordering through them, and put in for 6 other bottles I was looking to get anyways.

I blew my wad in August on a trip to Napa & Willamette (yes both places, same trip). So I only picked up 1 La Rata this go-round. I'm still waiting a few more years to try the 2012, and if I like that I'll probably sit on the '13 for a loooong time.

87 Mondavi Reserve. This was a powerful wine in its prime, which is past, but the wine is still good. Quite tertiary at this point and not a lot fruit left, but I like the spice. Very Bord like. Cloudy as hell but that didn't seem to effect the taste.

Tonight's wine:
2013 Las Rocas Garnacha

Made some red sauce tonight, and had it with some fresh linguine so I figured this would be better than a Bordeaux for it. Worked well for dinner by my opinion.

Disregard the other recent pick ups behind it, picked up some whiskey today and haven't put them away yet

Tasting some Napa tonight with friends.

Having an 06 Montus tonight. Giving like a 6 hour decant.

@manton any value Bordeaux you recommend (<35 or so)? Currently looking at cantemerle, Lanessan, and siran - anyone else you like?
Yes, I like all of those. Also look for Simmard, which tends to release only once the wine is 10+ years old. I used to like Greysac as a cheapie but it's become kinda not that great. larose trintaudon is decent.
