You might be able to find some of his other wines at Costco - my local one carries Earthquake, 7 deadly zins, and Petite Petit (and if you're only buying alcohol at Costco you don't need a membership)

That's my go-to rec for people that are really looking for something huge and fruity. Reminds me of mincemeat pie. I can do about half a glass - which is not to say that I don't like it.

Recommended as having a good QPR by the local BCL head cheese.

Been drinking cabs lately, so a nice change of pace. Not particularly tannic. Inky in color, has a certain salinity in the nose especially, sort of kelpy, or tomato maybe. Also olives.

Here's some recent wines. The ME was drinking great, the Mourvedre blend needs a couple more years for tannins to integrate, the Ledge stuff is killer and so is the Terry Hoage. Get in on both of those now.

Had these on the weekend, along with a bottle of 2010 Christian Mouiex Merlot. All were delicious, with the two Rhones taking the cake. I haven't tasted much gamay, so the Cote de Py was new and exciting for me.

Decided to try something new; I just ordered 2 bottles of Château Cormeil-Figeac 2010 St-Émilion grand cru AOC.

Have anyone tried those and care to comment?

an in-law claims this was floating around in her wine bottle. probably a cheap/crappy wine, but ... what is this?

Isn't that one of those silicone wine stoppers/savers?
not that I'm aware of. Pic was sent to me because she had no idea WTF it was or why it was in the wine bottle. They had to break the bottle to get it out.

Yikes gomey that's creepy.

On a different note, the end of TCA?
