yeah, it's from Tavel, is in a fairly slender bottle, is rose (duh), and has the KL banner label at the top. Basically, you won't miss it if you see it. I'd get the name for you from the KL website, but my work computer is a total piece of shit and my browser crashes at the KL website.

Bandol rose is really great, but I rarely see bottles for under $25, and that price is a bit beyond a typical "it's Friday, it's hot out, i'm going to stayin and watch TV while sipping a rose" type of wine.

The Domaine de Fonsainte Rose they sell is great and cheap.
I didn't know Fonsainte made a rose, only ver had the corbiere.

Tempier is amazing, but like $45.

Yeah, I hear you. That's even worse with rose, which is in my mind inherently a quaffing wine for drinking with friends when its hot, not something I particularly savor and contemplate. $15 is the sweet spot IMO.

Wine shop near me has that for $13 a bottle according to winesearcher--will definitely give it a try.

Manton, those suburban wine shops and your ability to drive to them are spoiling you. I rarely see *anything* for less than $10/bottle in the city. Granted, part of this could just be that I'm not buying by the case because 1) no room, and 2), dont want to carry case of wine on the subway.

If I'm just doing it wrong, please, someone correct me.

When I buy cases I ask them to put it in two bags six and six and I just leave them in my office and take them home over 2 or 3 days. It solicits a lot of comments, which is annoying, but whatever.

Manton really has the "find a wine, buy it cheaper than anywhere else" technique mastered.

Have already gone through a few bottles of this $10 cheapo rosé from the Loire in the last month or so:

Have only tried Bandol rosés once or twice; this seems to be one of those cases where I'm perfectly happy to stay within my budget.

Lets say I have a budget if 2, 300. What champs would you buy?
DP Oeno, DP Rose, Salon, Cristal, Taittinger CdC, Vintage Krug.

All great.

Fill your bathtub with 130 bottles of Korbel. Buy one bottle of Salon. Enjoy the champagne and an awesome photo op.
