Manton would kick my ass. He's stronger and all, whatever, but it's his arm reach that would do me in.

Unless we were on ice and donned in hockey gear. I might be ok then.

Antinori tonight.

I almost always have some Monte Antico around especially during the summer. Great will grilled meat served without sauces. I don't think they have bad years. I go throught at least a case a year.

I plan on going through a case in about 10 days. smile.gif

Just bought a case of the Antico. It was all they had left. Some guy came in and said, "he likes this stuff a lot, I should get the same thing." I felt awesome telling him there was none left.

I only got a 10% discount. frown.gif I also felt like a criminal walking a case of wine into my office building.

Noob query:

Are vintage ratings & charts dependent on the whims of an individual taster (or small group of tasters) in the way that individual wine rankings are? In other words, are vintage ratings extrapolated from the general impression that a taster like Parker forms from tasting a lot of wines from a particular vintage in a particular year? Or are these rankings less capricious because they might take into account other info--e.g. ,by what the vintners in a region have to say about that particular year, etc.?

Trader Joe's has Wiemer rose for cheap. I think I will.

Whoa, nice. How is it?
idk yet. I'll update later when I open it. But TJ's has the Wiemer semi-dry riesling for $14 or $15, which is a total buy.
That is a good buy, very nice.

Fucking Manton. I'm really getting into the madiran. Drinking an '07 Chateau Peyros, which is probably free in the US. I think I like it as much as the Montus... which I did a couple weekends of odd-jobs so I could buy a case.
