Matt, I don't like Italian wine either, as a general rule, but I drank one with a Tunisian couscous tonight that was out of this world. The friend who invited us over normally drinks it at the pizzeria near his office, where it costs 28 € a bottle, but after mentioning his admiration to the owner (with whom he's good friends), the latter offered to buy him a crate directly from the supplier for 8 € a bottle. If you can find it overseas you should give it a try. They also have a 2007 which is supposed to be even better but we didn't get a chance to taste that.

No, last night was the first night I had tried any of their products.

There are a lot of things Matt didn't do until I came into his life. Texting, sous-vide, taking a young man under his wing, etc. The list goes on and on.

Sorry. I at least make an effort to try everything that comes my way.

Plan to get out to the wine store today and grab a bottle of BN.

Also, not quite the threak but...went to a cocktail workshop yesterday afternoon before dinner. Came across a new, wonderful red vermouth. Carpano Antica Formula. Highly recommend.

Dood. Been reppin' that stuff almost as long as Vya. I still use Vya in my Negronis and Manhattans, but a Vieux Carre with Carpano is the best. ~ H
