I presume this is the 2011. The 2010 was fantastic. Great value here for the price.

Yea, 2011. It was $20ish. Wasn't really familiar with the producer, but figured I would take a flyer (and was conscious to force myself not to grab something from Foillard.)

those are great, too. V-S is hard to find, so I get excited whenever I see it.

just opened the Brun. I'm 50/50 on it at the start, it qualifies as a delicious wine, because it is delicious, but a tad more ripe than i prefer and the structure is a little meh.


Needs air, hence the opening.

Daily, as in on the days that I drink, which is like 2-3/week. It's like the price of one glass in a restaurant here.

I'm preparing some fried chicken right now (marinating) for tomorrow. Well, at least to get in the mood, since the game begins sometime around 1am or so. Haven't watched any NFL since last year, so I hope I still remember the most rudimentary rules.

Opened a 94 Montebello that was really off, so I popped a 02 Lynch. Not a great year for Bdx, but my wedding year, so I have a few. At 10+ years, this is really nice. Balanced, clearly Bdx, fruit holding and for my tastes, probably won't get alot better.

06 Tenuta Langasco Barbera d'Alba on the couch in fron of the tube tonight. Dinking like a rock star tonight.

That Lauer is a great bottle. Just had one last weekend myself; need to head back over there and pick up a few more before they are gone.
