So what you really hate is the super-clever naming. Py, pi, omghahahahhahaha. I'm willing to allow him some self-indulgence since his wines are good.

ohhhhh, like circumference and circle radiuses. That's deep.

At least the wine is good. That's all that matters in the end.

Just thinking the same...

Had a Guy Breton Regnie 2009 with Thanksgiving that was excellent.

And again, where did you buy?

Always looking for good value for occasions where busting out better stuff is not sensible.

Almost nobody from outside of VA is allowed to ship to VA anyway. Was hoping it was a national chain.

VA has some draconian liquor laws, that's for sure. If you are moving into the Commonwealth with a reasonable collection (greater than 1 gal), you have to fill out a form documenting all the wine/spirits you are bringing in and get a special permit. Violation is up to a year in jail, confiscation of your vehicle, etc.

Incidentally, if you were closer to Charlottesville, I would recommend my friend's store to you, but it's a haul from Fairfax County.

After a string of clunkers, tonight, finally something good: 99 Rochioli Estate Pinot. Really wonderful, broad on the palate, still firm acidity, fruit holding, and lots of spice. A great example of a RRV pinot improving with age, just a lovely wine.
