Finally found my Champagne groove: Ambonnay & Bouzy. This wasn't quite as good as the Billiot, but for $35 it's pretty rad.

If you like it, yes. Average on WS Pro is $168 (US stores). Low is $98.

Definitely IF well stored. That's one of those "too good to be true" prices so be wary unless coming from a friend.

Some 2000's are surprisingly open. The GPL was 5 years ago, but may be shit down now.

Interesting Kermit Lynch offering last night. Very plummy and tanic, but great with Steak au poivre (thanks to Iammatt's recipe).

Edit: Sorry to quote something German, but according to an article at DerBerater.de, the study of the FH Geisenheim was related to the storage of Champagne, not red/white wine without co2.
If I am not totally mistaken, the study I was referring to is more recent than the one on Champagne storage. I think one of the last two issues of Vinum had a piece about it in their first few pages.

Ramey was showing nicely, probably could go a couple more years; siduri was nice as always!

My girlfriend got this from some event she worked at. We drank it after work as it was needed in order to deal with the bozos at the condo board meeting:

Then with dinner we had this, which I thought was a great value. It is from the entre-de-mers region. Parker liked it. For $11 I am going to buy up a ton of it.

Bouchard! I'll have their white wine when it gets a little warmer for the last time of the year. Edit: Whoops, we've got the exact same wine. Maybe different vintage, mine is '10.

Edit²: Ok, not the same wine. You've got the Réserve, I've got the La Vingée.
