A customer came in tonight with this bottle of wine. So of course, a 20 year old bottle, I went out to talk to him. Ended up really liking him, he's coming to my wine dinner tomorrow. We comped his appetizers and in return he gave us half of this bottle. And it was absolutely delicious.

Some wonderful wine this week, highlighted by the outstanding Columbia Valley Syrah from Dunham Cellars (no photo), one excellent Pinot and one outstanding (both Willamette Valley). Aubichon. One to watch. Pure velvet, cherry and strawberry exquisitely made at $47. Could challenge a Kistler in its structure. Yes, that good.
