Here are a couple of pics from an outfit I put on today for a casual night out with my wife and buddy to eat at a bbq.

Does this work okay, as in a brandy balmoral AE Niles combined with a Levi's 514?

The shirt is a simple PRL (in a boy's size 20 since that's the only PRL that doesn't fit me like a tent)

Sorry for the bad color in these pics

It seems that the polo is about an inch too big in both shoulders.

Also, I don't like logos (especially crocodiles and horses) on my shirts.

Reasonable shoes with fairly standard jeans. Don't be too concerned. There's nothing that would scream out "DON'T DO IT." At the same time, the jeans could be a better fit.

Both the jeans and the polo seem a little large for you.

Also, this is a small question and belongs in the sticky.

oh dear lord, don't try to get him to size down on his jeans, he's already buying boy's sized shirts. I know you guys will eventually have your army of guys wearing precisely fitted mall brands someday, but damn, you guys need to smoke some weed or something for the time being.

Maybe try some other brands of polos? Plenty out there, you should be able to find something that works. Shoes look fine. Jeans looks OK, Levis benefit from having the bottom block tapered, cheap fix.

Looks good! If anything, not a fan of any emblems/logos...so, I'd probably lose that pony

Yeah I can do that in the future... for this particular night out I didn't have many options since I was on travell out of state.

I put this together for a decent price:

AE Niles in brandy: $109 (discontinued model)
PRL polo shirt: $10 at Marshall's
Levi's 514: $17 at Kohl's using coupon from the newspaper
