how much do you normally spend on sports events tickets? - Page 2

It definitely depends on the event; I have paid $150 each for good KU basketball tickets.

How about snagging a spot on a rooftop across the street? I've heard it's a fun way to watch a game.

$10 at a ball game for cheap seats, then me and my friends sneak down to better seats. Never been caught, but would be awkward.

My family has season tickets for the Oilers. There might not be a lot of corporates at the games but there are loads of gold digging trophy wives/girlfriends who parade around the arena like they are the shit. I swear the only reason they go to the games is to show off their LV handbags.

Those must be a really big deal out in Edmonton.

My Nashville Predators season tickets are about $27/game.

It depends on my company on how much I spend on events, generally.

Living in a city that doesn't have any top league teams, all minor league level so I can take my kids to everything for less than $15 a ticket, but in the past I've spent in excess of $100 per pro ticket.

so, what do you normally spend for a ball bame?

Cubs tickets are pricier than most other teams, but it's worth it. Wrigley is a beautiful park (assuming you aren't in the visiting locker room) that has an indescribable aura. There's just something surreal about seeing the field for the first time in person.

Plus, it's a smaller park and tough to find a seat that doesn't provide a good view of the game. I'd say don't break the bank on the tickets; you and your son should have a great time at the game regardless of where you sit.

I usually scour craigslist for good, cheap seats, but I'm also going to sporting events in Boston so it's pretty expensive to begin with. That said, I've paid as little as twelve bucks a seat for Red Sox games and well over 100 a seat for Bruins Playoff games.

Where I live, college hockey is the biggest game in town. It's also in one of the most beautiful hockey arenas in the world (many NHL players have said they are envious of it). Tickets are about $30 each for single-game tix.

I usually spend more on food and drinks than actual tickets. $8 watered down beer, WTF is this shit?

Most I'll spend is face value. I usually just show up to a game I want to see and wait until it starts. By the 2nd inning, I can get a Cubs ticket for less than half of face value. Sure I've missed the first inning live, but I'm watching it in a bar across the street.

I pay face for most Longhorn homegames, but OU (in Dallas) usually demands a premium. When I was still in school I would just slip the gate attendant $20 and walk right in. My girlfriend prefers to have an actual seat, however.
