Tied for the British Open lead at the halfway point. If he manages to win it at age 59, that's the biggest sports story of the year.

yes, also speaks to golf's irrelevance as an actual sport. don;t think the nba scoring champ or leading wide receiver or home run champ will have an AARP card.

its golf.

Yea that last second touchdown catch to win the superbowl and all, but an old ass man playing a little hobby game is WAY more riviting.

damn, he stayed on it today? i'd love to see him win. that would be incredible.

Not sure which makes me happier.

I love Tom Watson. Wonderful guy, and his comeback from his putting ills in his mid forties was inspiring.

I think he is done. Low 70 and ties make it, and 71 are already in better than him.

Do you golf, Matt?

Not any more . I used to play at least a hundred rounds a year, but once I realized that was impossible to do any more, I came to the conclusion that I would suck, and couldn't mentally handle that. I keep meaning to take it up again, but never do.

Matt is a golfer?

I golf.

Tom Watson winning would be nice, to say that it is a big sports story is rather a stretch. Most people don't know who he is nor care. Tiger is the draw in golf and even a drunken has been like Daly has bigger appeal than Watson.

Maybe if Bonds hadn't become untouchable?
