just a report here for any SF'ers who want to reduce their waistline but are lazy.
my wife decided to get on the south beach diet 2 weeks ago. i agreed to join her.
primary motivation? my waistline was bulging, and I didn't want to have to buy new, fatter clothes!
so -- two weeks later, i'm down about 8 pounds, maybe more, everything fits again, and i'm even sizing down in some things.
with no change in exercise.
there's no mystery to it -- my daily calories are 1000-1500, and i'm burning more than that by just walking around (i'm 184 now, down from 190-something).
but i'm just reporting that it's a pretty easy set of guidelines to follow which have helped me reduce the cals i'm taking in, and get to a much better diet (more greens, lean protein, etc etc).
i'm cheating by drinking alcohol, which isn't "allowed," but i do have my limits!
don't mean to proselytize too much, and obviously YMMV tremendously.
SBD has worked out much better than i would have thought, somewhat to my surprise.
