looks pretty badass, anyone try this? I am thinking of giving it a go next gym day... I wonder if you just do it everyother day? Looks like it hits all the muscle groups.

I call bullshit. It isn't the 300 workout unless it is from Mark Twight, the original trainer for the movie and one of the most bad ass alpine climbers ever.

Check out his site at www.gymjones.com if you are really serious.

i dont see how that can be as easy as you suggest.... blasting through that with little to no rest would destroy me (i think), it is the 50 reps that would do me in, I currently to the box jumps and by 25 I am ready for a break, and 50 straight deadlifts (even at 135lbs.) seems pretty difficult. Any idea where to find info on celeb workouts (actual ones from trainer and not adapted)

Did you even read? He has put such a huge wealth of information on his site that only a moron wouldn't be able to develop a training regimen based on it.

People irritate me. . . always wanting shortcuts, never wanting to work.

fyi, the "300" workout in the original link is from the gym jones website. it is a little misleading though as this wasn't the workout they did everyday, but more like a challenge posed to the cast and crew to try to beat during the training. at least that is how i read it.

Yes, there was a "300 test". Not everyone in the film passed it either.

However, the idea of a "300 workout" like in that article is so far off base that I can't even put it into words. It totally goes against the idea behind Twight's training.

For those that are really interested, read "Extreme Alpinism" by Twight for his early ideas on training. I've been following this guy's career for years. I've watched how his ideas evolved over time to the current ideas at gymjones.com. I use a lot of his methods when I train for the mountains.

His training routines look like crossfit to me, but with a lot more work.

A friend told me about this workout and I was doing it pretty consistently once a week for awhile and got some decent times. But I had some modifications that probably would have led to a quicker time. I didn't know that for floor wipes, 1 rep = both sides, I did a 35 lbs snatch rather then clean&jerk with a kettle bell.

His routines are heavily influenced by Crossfit. Google Mark Twight - Crossfit.

I think the workout is pretty stupid, and its not to be done everyday. Twight went to one of the first Crossfit certs and basically just ripped it off and calls it his own.

Yup. Everything done in the 300 workout are exercises that crossfit does.
