Using creme developer to whiten teeth?

Ive heard you can use simple hydrogen peroxide mixed w/ baking soda can be used to whiten teeth. Well, can you use the 10,20,30, or 40 volume creme developer they sell in hair salons to whiten your teeth? has anyone ever tried this?
