According to Mauro, we should be able to continue taking orders after we get the minimum in--although since he's just kindly passing them through and I don't feel like continuosly taking orders one by one, I'd rather get as many in as possible in the first batch and see how they turn out before ordering a bunch more. So we'll continue taking orders through Friday August 7 and then wait.

As far as combos, we've got:
Dark cardinal with cream sleeves, dk cardinal trim with dk gold stripes;
Navy with brown sleeves and brown trim;
Dark oxford with white sleeves, navy trim with lt gold stripes;
Brown with black sleeves, black trim, and brown stripes feathered with burgundy (excited to see how this one turns out);
Dark cardinal with maroon sleeves, navy pocket trim, and dark maroon knit with oxford stripes;
and a couple more.

(If you don't want your jacket posted here--for proprietary design reasons

--let me know)

I could get down with this, I'll talk to Mauro.

sweet, i'll try and get my order to you by tonight or tomorrow...

"Dark cardinal with cream sleeves"

this is the combo i will probably go with...but couple of questions, sorry if they were asked...

how does the dark scarlet differ from the dark cardinal? hardd to tell from the pics but looks liek the cardinal is more of a maroon and the scarlet is more red?? that sound right?

possible to get the stripe on the sleeve cuff but not on the neck or body?

thanks

I went with the cardinal/cream sleeves option.

scarlet is usually a more vivid red. cardinal would be more towards the maroon kind of blueish red.

I need your input guys,
My current specs are

Dk oxford (kind of medium grey) body and grey snap buttons
white sleeves
navy knit with light gold stripes
navy trim on pockets.

Now my only doubt is about the sleeves. Should I take cream sleeves or stay with white?
The white will take longer to look properly antiqued/broken in/dirty in a good way.
The cream will give it a vintage look earlier on.
What do you think?

It's really amazing and somewhat inspiring to me that the Japanese have such appreciation for American craftmanship in clothing. I can only hope that the trend continues to be adopted here in the US and leads to a resurgence of some homegrown clothing manufacturing.

I thought some of the examples looked good with white.

I'll stick to white. Thanks for the input.
