Went to a midnight premier last night. It's good! By far the best of the lot so far. Obviously they had to leave quite a bit out, some of my favorite parts actually, but the movie stands on its own. See it!

My girlfriend is insane when it comes to Harry Potter, so for this movie I was very much coerced into going to the midnight premiere. I had seen the other movies and read the first book, and I didn't think the 6th movie would be so great. WRONG.

EXCELLENT CINEMA. The movie was actually humorous at times, a welcome tangent to the previous movies. Overall it was well put together and the acting is getting better too. The movie is definitely worth $9 for a ticket.

Never read the books, no interest in doing so, but whoever is behind the last 3 movies knows what they're doing. Awesome production value. I will see this one too.

I haven't read the books and won't ever. This movie was decent. It had its faults, the most glaring one being that the girl Harry is crushing on is not nearly hot enough for the protagonist of an epic storyline.

I think the acting by Harry and the gang is rather lackluster. Visually I loved the movies, but the acting makes me cringe everytime.

They do. They do.

I liked the movie, though I hadn't read this particular book. The humor bits were nice, though there wasn't much of a "grand" part or anything, no big battles, etc. I was expecting more, but perahps I should have read the book.

When did SF open a tween section?

The movie disappointed me. Yeah, the humour was nice but they completely skipped/glossed over all the action and drama that was supposed to build at the end, which was really the most interesting part of the book.

Is the In Bruges girl in this one?

I agree. There are a few scenes where Ginny looks alright, but most often she looks like a barker. Emma Watson on the other hand... BTW does anyone know who plays the Muggle waitress girl that Harry was flirting with at the start of the movie?
