Cuban Cigar recommedation - Must Travel Well

I am going for a trip to Europe where I will eventually be in good company with cousins in the Balkans for my Birthday and like last year I was thinking of lighting up a Cuban and sink some scotch. I am looking for some recommendations suggestion for Cubans that are not hard to smoke for a non regular Cigar smoke. I have been recommended with the Ramon Allones - Robusto or the Vegas Rabaina Classico. Open to suggestion.

My other issue is that I will be travelling for 12 days through Switzerland (Zurich), Turkey(Istandbul) and Germany (Berlin) before I get to my final destination and then it will be another 15days to my birthday. How should I pack them so I maintain the quality as much as possibly while in my travels? Can I keep them in a plastic lunchbox or ????

Also interested in any known Cigar shops in Berlin to purchase them rather than hauling them through Europe. What would price and availability be like in Germany? Thanks

The Punch Punch is a great smoke.

If you are going to spend the money on Cubans, purchase an inexpensive travel humidor.

try H.Upmann Magnums, they are a good medium bodies cigar, Ramon Allones Specially SElecteds are on the stronger side so it may not be an option for you

I did some research following this post and found that the H.Upmann Connoisseur No1 seems to be a nice light Cigar. I was also quite happy to find that Cubans in Berlin are 40% cheaper per cigar than in Sydney Australia.

El Rey Del Mundo Chiox Supreme. End of story.

how many cigars are you going to buy? 10-15 days in air travel can pretty much destroy cigars (not always, but potentially). I would invest in either a travel humidor, or a large plastic box and a humidifying unit.

by the way, frankfurt, istanbul and london all have reasonable duty free cigar selections. I would buy the closest to when you intend to smoke.

I would actually advice against this. Travel humidors are fine for 2-3 day excursions, but are not intended for any sort of long term storage (two weeks being rather lengthy). If you can, purchase the cigars at your final destination and enjoy them as soon as possible. As for Cuban recommendations, I like the classics. The Monte 2 is one of my all time favorites. At an even higher price point, a Cohiba Siglo VI is a very beautiful thing.

Partagas Serie D No.4 hands down the best thing out there right now.
