Rec's for Hong Kong

Hey Guys,

I've been backpacking through Taiwan and China for the past couple of months and will be passing through Hong Kong from July 24 - 31st. I've got the tourist stuff down and will be visiting Ricky for a shirt fitting.

I wanted to know your recommendations for the following -

1. Good latte (not Starbucks)
2. Best place to buy a laptop (I'll be in Asia for the next couple of years)
3. Bookstore with a good english section (I've read all the stuff the off-market reprinters sell in China)

I'd also love to meet any HK-based SF'ers. PM me for my contact details.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Lots of bookstores have good English selections. My parents have a place by Festival Walk shopping mall in Kowloon Tong and there is a fairly large PageOne in there with pretty much only English stuff.

I don't think he will find any of those things particularly hard to find.... anyhow, there is some IT mart place in Wanchai that I went to once, that place was pretty cheap, don't really know if I would trust the guys though. Bookstores pretty much everywhere too, there was a pretty big one in IFC iirc. Coffee - sure you will manage to find that on your own.

Pacific is their local Starbucks counterpart... not great though. There are a lot of small delis and coffee places around. I particularly look for places that serve Illy coffee- you can't miss them since they all have the big red sign.
