Herbal essence moisturizing consition w/ ever man jack shampoo?

I was searching the forum for a good shampoo/conditioner combo for around 15 bux and can be found easily (wal mart, walgreens, target, etc.)
I have thick/course/dry hair so I think I need a moisturizing conditioner, such as the herbal essence conditioner. and the every man jack has a great rep on this site for shampoo. Is this a good combo, or can you offer some ideas for a similar price? Thanks for any help.

I would buy better than that. It lasts more than a month so pick up a bottle of something good.

Everyman Jack is good stuff; so is American Crew citrus-mint shampoo and conditioner.

Herbal Essences is women's shampoo, for what it's worth. Not that it really makes that much of a difference, but you may get some playful ribbing about it if your girlfriend or friends ever see it in your shower.

You're talking about $9 for two bottles. Try it. If it doesn't feel good, switch out one of the bottles for something. Rinse and repeat.

Your head will not explode if you use the 'wrong' shampoo and conditioner combo.

I tried a range of costlier brands (Aveda, Kiehls, etc.) but keep coming back to Garnier Fructis. Cheap, keeps my long hair smooth and shiny, not greasy within a few hours.

ok, well I guess I look at that american crew stuff as well. The fact its a chix conditioner doesnt really matter if it works. but thanks for the advice.
